Inscription from school mates on the departure of Gerald Archambeau for Canada in 1946. It reads: "From the Boys of Franklin High School. [1946]. Today Mr. Gerald Thomas shall be your departure and we wish you that God may guide you through out life's journey. During your 2-year period at our school you were quite a good behaving and devent young fellow and we hope that you may still continue. Though distance miles shall be our separation but we shall still remember good old Gerald. Farewell to you, Farewell, the winds will carry back your sad refrain. Should we not meet again we hope to meet beyond the river. Take the name of Jesus Christ with you. Good luck properity and health may attend you." and "I except with thans; Gerald A. Archambeau."
