Recently described acquisitions

The following archival records have recently been processed and are now available for research.

  • F0753 - Kenneth Shah fonds contains the records of an early organizer of Caribana and editor of Canadian Caribbean Carnival Magazine.
  • F0448 - Roy Israel Wolfe fonds consists of documents from the professor who helped establish the York University Transportation Centre and previously was a planner/researcher at the Ontario Department of Highways (1952-1965).
  • F0757 - Pat Armstrong fonds  documents the career of a recognized expert in the areas of gender equity, women’s work, women’s health and care labour.
  • F0767 - York Region Alliance to End Homelessness fonds was a community-based, unincorporated coalition and was the product of community efforts to understand the emergency of homelessness in York Region.
  • F0635 - John F. Bosher fonds  includes research notes concerning the activities of merchants, officials, bankers and ship captains involved in the trade between France/Canada during the 17th and 18th centuries.

Additional material has also been added to the fonds of George Papadatos, Professor Reg Whitaker, and the Egypt Migrations: a Public Humanities Project.
